Most ideas of heaven have been categorized as a place/destination beyond where we are. Regardless of what our religious or philosophical beliefs may be on heaven, or life after death in general, it is more than just a place to be found beyond this life.
Often times, when we think of heaven, we think of a place free of worries, pain, and suffering. It is considered to be a place that we will experience freedom; our ultimate bliss, if you will.
Heaven is not just a place you end up after you pass on from this life. Heaven can be found in the essence of who you are, right now. If we trust in all things/experiences to be part of a higher good, then we can free ourselves from the concerns, worries, and self-inflicted suffering that may be caused from them. If we honor our selves, pursue the higher purpose in who we are, give our best in all that we do, we can release the burdens of this world, and in doing that, we can find a peace of heaven on earth – in our hearts.
In knowing that you are exactly where you need to be, you know all is well just as you are, where you are. When we allow ourselves to feel the dvinity in where we are, always, we can feel the essence of the part of heaven/god/source/universe/love/peace/joy/bliss that is within us, right where we are.
Many Blessings-

If we continue to allow our religious beliefs, job titles, financial status, genders, and/or sexual preference, to separate us from one another we will never truly know the oneness that we are all here to share. It is great to take pride/ownership in who we are, and what we believe in, but not so much so that we don’t honor one another in the process.
No matter which category we may be placed in, or are attracted to the most, it does not define who we are, or make us any better than any one else. If we take away the walls that divide us, we will see that we are all one in the same. In truth: we do not have to believe in the same GOD, or adopt the same means of worship, be of the same race, live in the same neighborhood, and/or vote for the same people to appreciate the divinity in who we all are.
No matter who you are or what you believe in, I HONOR YOU.
In oneness and love for who you are- Ricky Roberts III

A few years back, I was in California to give a talk at a friend’s grand opening for her yoga center. Before the talk, I was reflecting in a near by park about what I would share. I took notice of a very large Oak Tree. I began to think about how old it is, how much it has witnessed, and how many storms it has weathered. I thought about how much nature has to teach us, always. In this instance, I pondered on what the beautiful Oak has endured in her time and how it can relate to what we may endure in ours.
If you look at nature, you will notice how gracefully it flows with the ever changing process of its elements. Take a moment to watch a tree on a windy day and see how it blows in the wind effortlessly. Observe a bird flying through the sky and notice how it doesn’t fight against the wind, but works with it to travel in the direction its heading. Watch a flower blossom, appreciate its beauty, and then recognize how the plant will release the flower with out attachment, with peace and grace.
Life will change. As seasons change the dynamics of a tree, the many different seasons in our life will change the state of who we are just the same. In the same way a tree remains rooted in mother earth, flowing freely with the different elements it may experience, we too shall root ourselves in the support of all that surrounds us, and trust that the storms that come are a part of the bigger purpose at hand.
When we are able to let go of our need to control the circumstances of life and surrender freely to the evolution of nature, in the same way a plant releases its blossoming flowers, or a bird glides with the wind and not against it, we will come to know the true nature of who we are; whole, beautiful, and divine. If we root ourselves in the essence of who we are and what nature is, we will see that we are all one in the same.
Open your heart to the magic of this life and all that it has to offer you.

A dream, as defined by webster, is: a strongly desired goal or purpose. If we leave a dream simply as a desired goal or purpose, according to its definition, then what will it become? What is a goal and/or purpose if it does not have the action to follow. It is just a dream, nothing more.
At some point in our life we have all had a dream. The question is: whether, or not, we have pursued it. I say to you: whatever your dream, or dreams may be, think about how you can put it, or them, into action. The difference between you and the person, “living the dream” is the efforts that they have applied in pursuing it. If your heart is calling you to do something, do it. Keep in mind, this pursuit will not always be easy, and may take years to reach, and may not even be reached in the exact way that you wanted. However, if you never pursue it, you will never know the outcome. In truth: the real joy, the realization of your dreams, will come in the pursuit itself. Trust in the visions that come to you, surrender to the support that surrounds you, and take action in “living the dream”.
A dream is just a dream if it’s not pursued…..

Now that the year is coming to an end, in accordance to the calendar we operate from, it’s a good time to reflect where we are and what intentions we may have for the moments that await us.
In invite you to spend time seeking the highest good of your existence. There is no mistake that you are here as there is not that I am. Although life will confuse you at times, it will also remind you of the very essence of why you’re here at all.
No matter what reference you may choose in acknowledging a higher power, if at all, I invite you to appreciate the divinity in who you are, and trust the awareness that you have within. We can read as many spiritual and/or inspirational texts as humanely possible, or worship our chosen religious deities, daily, but if we are not able to recognize the divinity in our selves, we will never truly experience the true essence of what any of it means.
Stand firm in your beliefs but open your heart to what others may have to teach you. May we not pass judgment on whose way is right, or wrong, but open our hearts to what we have to learn from each of them. We are all in this together!
Bring the joy of the holiday season with you, always. Every day is an opportunity to share our love and appreciation for each other, as well as give to those in need.
There are many ways to give to the community. It’s not about the money and the gifts as much as it is simply letting people know they are valued. On one level, or another, we all appreciate being seen, valued, by the world around us. Take the time to truly see the people around you; honor the value in who they are.
Sit with where you are and the efforts it has taken you to be here. Whether you feel good about it, or not, you are perfect as you are. Seek the change you need to create. Honor that there is always opportunity for growth and expansion, but realize you are exactly where you need to be right now. Look around you, let go of the things/people that are not encouraging the best that you have to give and embrace the ones that are. Set your intentions. Open your heart. Act upon the things that bring passion/joy to your life.
The more in alignment we become with our highest good, the more we will understand the truth in all that is.
May the greatness in who you are shine through in all that you do.

Often times, we get so distracted, or caught up on the vastness of the “problems” of our world that we get discouraged, and don’t do anything at all. In truth, we are living in very interesting times. There are a lot of people who are hurting, or being hurt, going with out food, are not being nurtured with love, homeless, jobless, and hopeless. This is not to mention the issues that need to be addressed in regards to our mother earth. This is our reality, right now.
The other reality is: there are many people who are making a difference everyday to create change. There are people who have made it their life long commitment to bring love and change to our humanity. Some of these people we know because they are in the publics eye, and some of which we may never hear of. Either way, I honor and appreciate their efforts.
Now, there are the people who fall in between, every day people, who are just doing their best to make the most of their life, but may not feel like what they have to give is enough in relation to how big they may think the problems are. However, anything that we have to give is enough and everything that we give makes a difference. There are no problems that are too big, or too many people that need to be helped, if we all play our part.
We are all in this together. You have just as much to offer as does anyone else. Although we may get discouraged, or ask: “what do I have to give?” we must all know that anything we give makes a difference. You don’t have to give thousands of dollars, volunteer hundreds of hours, or protest for our environment, to make a difference.
YOU can make a difference just by being who you are, at your chore, a work of love and grace. Be the love that you are, be kind to people, stay open to how you may be used, and send love and healing in your thoughts of the people who are in need. You do make a difference!
YOU ARE VALUED!

As I continue to pursue my passion to share with others, I value any and all support that I get. I am humbled by the opportunity to be a part of the great work at hand, as all of us are. In truth, none of what I do would be possible with out the support that surrounds me. I hope to see you there, even if it’s just to say hello.
Remember: Signed books make great gifts!
YOU ARE VALUED!!!

At times, the idea of enlightenment itself can be the very thing to stand in the way of
reaching it. Enlightenment is not a place; it is a sense of being, and even belonging if
you will. Often times we get so caught up in the thought of what our pursuits are, what
ever we coin them as, that we distract ourselves from the pursuit itself. In other words,
if I were to put all of my focus on the idea of being enlightened, free of the constraints
of this form, I will never truly be free from any of it. In fact my focus, although it may
be a positive one, still keeps me attached to the ideas/understandings that my mind has
created.
Naturally, to pursue anything, it begins with a thought and/or feelings, which we then
choose to acknowledge or not. However, the way one chooses to pursue their higher
state of being is the act of living it, and not just a thought of reaching it. Whether you
connect with the idea of enlightenment, or reaching the gates of heaven, you will never
truly experience what it is without being present in the process of getting there. To reach
enlightenment, you live enlightened. To reach heaven, you live heavenly. By living
what you aim to achieve you are always there.
We tend to get so caught up on our highest good being a place to reach that we are not
able to live it where we are. There is a practice involved to reach a place of freedom,
enlightenment, to transcend beyond the limitations that we set for ourselves. The practice
however, is not just, although very important, sitting under a tree meditating for days on
end. The practice begins with a willing heart to seek the highest part of who you are.
When we live with a willing heart all things that we need to see, let go of, and understand
in the process of finding our highest self will be given to us. Enlightenment is a phrase
that reaches beyond the idea of any particular religious aspiration; it is a standard for all
of us to stride for in our daily life. No matter what religious practice you may connect
with the most, if at all, living an enlightened life does not mean you have to meditate five
hours a day, be a vegetarian, give away all of your belongings, and live in the wilderness.
It simply means that you live enlightened to the fact that you are not alone, you are
valued, there is a higher purpose for you life, the need to let go of your idea of what is
always best for you, and the more your heart leads the way, the more you will experience
a sense of belonging beyond this form.
The more you are able to find the joy in who you are, the more you will find your own
understanding of what its like to live an enlightened life.
You are valued- Ricky Roberts III

There are many days that I awaken to the rising sun with the thought: I give thanks to be here, but what about the days I do not. How often to we really awaken with giving thanks just to be? All too often we awaken to the thoughts of what needs to be done at work, around the house, for school, or simply with our day in general. What will I wear today? I forgot to call “so and so” back. Did I pay the power bill? How much money do I have? Do I have gas in my car? Will I have time to enjoy myself today? The list goes on.
In the midst of the questions we pose to ourselves, or statments we make, how often do we ask: What can I learn from this experience, or the next? How can I be of service to humanity? Am I being the best I can be? Am I giving myself enough time in the silence? Am I smiling enough? Am I laughing enough? And, am I giving thanks to just to be here at all?
No matter how busy our days may be, or tend to get, we must remember to give thanks for the gift to be here, and ask how we may use it for the highest good of everyone.
Every moment that you are is a gift; cherish it!
Blessings- RRIII
